cultural vernacular
Among my Gen-X contemporaries, if you weren’t involved in sports or similar activity, there was often TV time after school, and most of us had TV time before bed. There is a bond among those with prolonged experience to the same media. We speak the same cultural vernacular. Cheers to my X-Generation fraternity, to lost innocence of Tom and Jerry, Star Wars, and GI-Joe, naming but few.

Note Castle Greyskull and the Droid Factory in the above photo from 1984.
